under the A-to-Z Guarantee if you provide payment to a seller through
Amazon Payments but the seller fails to deliver an item or you receive
the item your purchased however it is materially different from what
was depicted in the description provided by the seller.
What
does “materially different” mean and how do I know if my product
qualifies?
Should the product be
clearly misrepresented in terms of the condition or other details
associated with it by the seller that affects its overall value or
usefulness it is considered to be “materially different” and should
have a replacement or refund offered by the seller within 30 days of
purchase in exchange for the return of the product. If the seller
refuses to accept the returned product within 30 days after the initial
shipment date then you will be eligible to make a claim under the

What are
the specific requirements of the A-to-Z Guarantee?
- In order to qualify
for the Amazon.com A-to-Z Guarantee the item in question must have been
purchased from either the Amazon Marketplace, Auctions or from a
Merchant seller on the Amazon.com site. Purchases from the following
Merchants via the Amazon Merchant site, however, are not covered by the
Guarantee: Newpoer News, Eddie Bauer, Warehouse Deals, Borders.com, the
Target Store, Waldenbooks.com, eLuxury, eBags.com, Mervyns, Marshall
Fields and Virginmega.com
- For any Amazon
Marketplace and Merchant orders you as a buyer must wait at least 3
calendar days beyond what has been stated as the maximum estimated
delivery time or at least 30 days from time day the order was placed,
whichever comes first. Once that period has been reached you will have
60 days to file a claim for the A-to-Z Guarantee program.
- For any Auctions
purchase you as a consumer will have the right to file acclaim 30 days
after the official purchase date. Once that period has been reached you
will have 30 days to file a claim.
- Should you receive a
materially different item you must contact the seller that provided you
with the item within seven (7) days of the item being delivered to you
to request a return.
- If at any time the
product you receive becomes defective over 30 days after the shipment
date yet is under warranty you must contact the manufacturer providing
the warranty for additional information.
- In order to help
encourage buyer awareness all buyers are limited to a lifetime maximum
number of five claims made for purchases from the Amazon Auction or
Marketplace.
- All information
relating to you and your purchase must be complete and accurate on the
guarantee claim form.
- If during the
purchase you paid by credit card and the bank issuing the credit has
initiated a chargeback to return you your lost funds you will not be
eligible to receive compensation under the A-to-Z Guarantee.
How much
coverage will I receive for my purchase?
All buyers who purchase an
item from the Amazon Auctions, Marketplace or Merchant sites via
Amazon.com may receive up to a total of $2,500 coverage for their
purchase, including shipping expenses.

I file a claim?

to cancel a claim – how do I go about it?
